You want to eat the old ones first. Here is a method. Mark the eggshells with a pencil. Eat the marked eggs first. Situation resolved.
Another technique employed is to write the purchase date on one of the eggs. Put all of the eggs in your refrigerator. Eat the egg with the data written on it last. Once that egg is removed, open the next carton of eggs and place them in the holder after the last egg from the earlier batch is gone.
